We'll advise you before this committee meets so we can demand this important motion be honoured. In the meantime, take a bow. We have ended an offensive partisan perk and saved a few trees in the process. Congratulations!

We won!
Yesterday we sent an urgent appeal to contact federal lawmakers in an effort to pass an opposition motion to end "ten per centers" – the practice that allows MPs to send partisan junk mail outside their ridings.
Thanks to you, the vote passed yesterday afternoon in the House of Commons 140-137. Click here to see how your MP voted.
It's even better than that.
The motion also calls for reduced partisan advertising, ministerial use of aircraft, hiring of external 'consultants' and a smaller cabinet and prime minister's office. This could save taxpayers $1 billion annually.
But we're not out of the woods yet.
The motion now goes to the Board of Internal Economy – a closed-door cabal of MPs from all parties that decide matters of Parliamentary perks and privileges.
